On Thursday, 30 April 2026, Dr. Rada Hussein, PhD, FIAHSI, Principal Investigator at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention (Salzburg, Austria), will present an important contribution to the evolving landscape of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Her work, titled “Interoperability Framework of the European Health Data Space for the Secondary Use of Data,” introduces an interactive European Interoperability Framework-based standards compliance toolkit designed to support AI-driven projects.

As Europe moves toward a harmonised approach to the secondary use of health data, interoperability remains a critical challenge. Through the HSbooster.eu collaboration, bringing together seven AI-driven initiatives, this toolkit provides practical guidance to ensure alignment with governance structures and interoperability requirements within EHDS.
