Overview:
The One Digital Health (ODH) Working Group of the European Federation for Medical Informatics focuses on advancing integrated approaches at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health through digital technologies and data-driven methods. Building upon the One Health paradigm, ODH extends its scope by incorporating digital health infrastructures, data ecosystems, and intelligent systems to support prevention, monitoring, and decision-making across complex health contexts.
The WG promotes interdisciplinary collaboration among medical informatics, public health, environmental sciences, and data science communities, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for addressing global health challenges, including those related to biodiversity, ecosystem health, and emerging risks.
Main Objectives:
- Promote the One Digital Health framework within the EFMI community
- Support integration of human, animal, and environmental health data
- Advance interoperability and FAIR data practices across domains
- Foster development of digital tools for surveillance, prevention, and decision support
- Address ethical, legal, and governance aspects of integrated digital health ecosystems
- Contribute to education and capacity building in One Digital Health
Outputs:
- Scientific publications on One Digital Health concepts and applications
- Organization of workshops, tutorials, and conference sessions
- Contributions to methodologies for integrated health data analysis
- Support to European research and innovation projects
