eHealth 2016: Call for Papers

The eHealth conference series is being organized since 2007 by the Austrian Working Group of Health Informatics and eHealth. Since 2013, it takes place in the framework of the eHealth Summit Austria, a major ICT for health event that is organized by HIMSS Europe (Health Information and Management Systems Society).

Each year, this event is attracting up to 300 participants from academia, health care organizations and industry. This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of this conference. Based on its mission “Health Informatics meets eHealth”, the eHealth conference series provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, decision makers and vendors to discuss innovative health informatics and eHealth solutions so as to improve quality and efficiency of health care.

Starting in 2016, the primary conference language will be English, allowing to address the increasingly international audience of eHealth and the importance of cross-border health ICT. A special topic for eHealth 2016 will be “Predictive modeling in health care – from prediction to prevention”. Future ICT systems need to include methods of machine learning and predictive analytics, in order to provide actionable information to health carers and to support preventive health care concepts.
