Call for papers open: MIE 2027, Tallinn, 26 to 30 April 2027

The call for papers for Medical Informatics Europe 2027 is open. The 37th MIE conference will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, from 26 to 30 April 2027. The theme is “Empowering people with trusted, sustainable, and connected health data for active and healthy longevity.”

The scientific programme has six tracks: Health Data for Security, Defence, and Societal Resilience; Evaluation, Implementation Science, Health Economics, and Scaling Up; Health Data Spaces, Interoperability, and Information Systems; Digital Public Health, Planetary Health, and Population Intelligence; Patient-centred Care, Workforce Innovation, and Professional Practice; and Clinical Decision Support, Trustworthy AI, and Learning Health Systems.

Full papers (5 pages) and short communications and posters (2 pages) are due by 20 October 2026. Accepted papers are peer-reviewed and published open access in Studies in Health Technology and Informatics (IOS Press), indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar and EMCare. 

Proposals for workshops, panels, tutorials and demonstrations are due in January 2027.
